Exclusively open to the Alliance Française students and members of the library, our media centre offers also a range of activities: conferences, cinema, story telling,..

Becoming a member of La Médiathèque
La Médiatèque is freely accessible to all students and members of Alliance Française de Colombo.
To become a member of Alliance Française:
a) you may come and register at the front desk.
b) you may also download the registration form and fill up the payment confirmation form.

Library membership fee:
+ Alliance Française Students and Members: Free

+ For non members: Payment of Rs. 2,000/-

+ Deposit for all Médiathèque users: Rs. 2,000/-

Lending of books and magazines:
You can borrow 3 books or magazines for 3 weeks.
You can borrow 3 DVDs or learning materials for 2 weeks.
The return date of borrowed documents can be extended for another 2 weeks by phone, Email or in person.

Penalties:
Delay charge for all documents : Rs100/- per week.

Membership card:
The membership card (AF Student’s card or AF Member’s card) is obligatory to borrow documents.
The loss of a membership card must be reported to the librarians in order to prevent any misuse. A new card may be obtained (fee: Rs.1,000/-)
