As part of Francophonie 2024, a Francophonie Film Festival will be presented from 21st to 23rd of March and will gather 8 countries members of the Francophonie.
Francophonie brings together over 321 million French speakers from around the world. The International Francophonie Day is organized every year around the 20th of March to celebrate the diversity of the French language and the French-speaking world.
To celebrate Francophonie 2024 in Sri Lanka, the Francophonie Film Festival will take place from 21st to 23rd of March at Alliance Française de Colombo (11 Barnes Place, Colombo 7) and will feature 8 films/ documentaries from countries around the globe members of the Francophonie: Belgium, Canada, Egypt, France, Romania, Switzerland, Tunisia, Vietnam. All movies will be screened with English subtitles and entrance is free.
A total of 8 movies of all genres will be shown, which will illustrate the diversity and richness of Francophonie cultures: from drama to comedy, to documentary, short-movie and animated movie.
