Tune in to the break dance revolution! 

Are you interested in break dance?

The Alliance Française de Colombo hosts a workshop for you as break-dancing busts into the Olympics for the first time this year.

The workshop will include two parts that will last over the first weekend of June. 

🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️ Open to anyone interested in break dance! (14+)

📅 Part I- Saturday 1st of June, 9.30am-12.30pm- mastering the different levels of practice and techniques

📅 Part II- Sunday 2nd of June, 9.30-11.30am- restitution taking the form of a dance battle

This month’s CINÉ-CLUB will be screening the 2023 French drama film “À la belle étoile”. The film’s protagonist Yazid has always dreamt of becoming a prominent pastry chef. Despite the challenges he has faced throughout his difficult childhood, he is determined to win the world pastry championship that would secure him his future.

In celebration of the Mothers’ Day 2024, Hema Ramachandran conducts a kids’ workshop for block printing on fabrics, an introduction to printing patterns on textiles to create affectionate gifts for mothers. 

We welcome kids between the ages 6 to 10 years of old

A solo piano recital by Vidura Rodrigo whose programme consists of miniature works by Schubert, Beethoven, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Glass, O’Halloran, Pärt, Einaudi and the pianist’s original compositions.  “Pure Piano” explores the poetism of miniature pieces composed for the piano throughout the ages, representing romanticism and contemporary minimalism
